The Department of the Premier and Cabinet is supporting the SA Government’s revitalisation of Port Adelaide, and will relocate some Shared Services SA employees to a new purpose-built building in 2018.
The teams identified to move to Port Adelaide are the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Financial Services teams.
This relocation will provide an opportunity to co-locate the teams that collectively provide a finance service to SA Government agencies, with DPC employees set to occupy one floor of the new building, to be built on the Corner of Nile and Robe Streets.
The project is an extension of DPC's modern workplace initiative and will see these employees provided with a modern work environment and new technology that will foster collaboration and innovation.
Planning for the relocation has commenced and the ways in which Shared Services SA engages with customers and utilises technology will be reviewed to minimise the impact of the geographical separation. It is anticipated that new technology will be made available within the organisation to enable individual video conferencing for business between the CBD and Port Adelaide.
Shared Services SA will make every effort to ensure impacts to service delivery are minimised during the upcoming transition period and will keep customers informed as the relocation plans progress.
